How to Download and Install cardPresso Software

Step 1: Download cardPresso

To get started, download the latest version of cardPresso from the official website.

• Choose the correct version for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
• Save the installation file to your computer.

Step 2: Install cardPresso

Once the download is complete, follow these steps to install the software.

For Windows Users:

1. Locate the downloaded .exe file in your Downloads folder.
2. Double-click the file to start the installation.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions and accept the terms and conditions.
4. Click Next and choose your installation directory (default is recommended).
5. Once installed, restart your computer if prompted.

For macOS Users:

1. Locate the .dmg file in your Downloads folder.
2. Double-click to open it and drag the cardPresso application into your Applications folder.
3. Once copied, open cardPresso from the Applications folder.
4. If macOS asks for permissions, allow them to ensure smooth operation.

Step 3: Activate cardPresso

Before using cardPresso, you need to activate it. There are two activation methods:

1. Activation Code (Digital License)

• When you open cardPresso for the first time, it will prompt you to enter an activation code.
• Enter the license key that came with your purchase.
• Ensure you are connected to the internet to verify the activation.

2. USB Dongle Activation

• If your cardPresso license comes with a USB dongle, plug it into your computer.
• The software should recognize it automatically.
• If not, go to CP Menu > cardPresso License > Check for Upgrades.

Step 4: Install Printer Drivers

For cardPresso to work with your ID card printer, you need to install the correct printer drivers.

• Visit your printer manufacturer's website to download the latest driver.
• Follow the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer.
• Once installed, restart your computer and ensure the printer is detected by cardPresso.

Step 5: Start Designing & Printing

Now that cardPresso is installed and activated, you're ready to create and print professional ID cards!

• New Project: Click New to start a new card design.
• Templates: Use built-in templates for quick designs.
• Printing: Connect your printer and click Print to start producing ID cards.
